I currently have a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP with a 3.4 P4 Northwood, 2GB OCZ DDR400, and a x800 XT PE. I am thinking of updating this to a ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe, AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (or slightly higher), and a 7800GT (kind unknown at the moment), with the memory from my old computer. What kind of performance increase am I looking at? Mainly will be used for games and such.
