Performance Differences Between Q9450 and Q9550 when OC'd?

So, is there really a performance difference between the Q9450 and the Q9550 when overclocked? All I want is to be able to reach 4.0GHz stable on air. Then I will bust out the water cooling and see how much farther I can go

But seriously, is there going to be a noticeable difference in the Q9550 for $215 more? Unlocked multiplier? Binned higher? Anything?

well since they havent been released just yet i doubt you are going to get very much info on this.

they still arent even due out til sometime this quarter so we could be waiting a while

Only difference should be the multiplier. I don't know that Intel is even binning that much anymore - all the chips seem to do pretty uniformly good.

Yup, the Q9550 has a 8.5x multi compared to the Q9450's 8x multi...
Not worth $200 IMO
