Please don't flame on me, I'm a newb. My current system is shit and very old. PII 550mhz only 128ram and GForce4 MX440. Finally got a job so I'm gonna save money to buy a gaming rig. Two questions:

1. What brand of cards should I avoid ie. MSI, Saphire, etc.
2. Are OEM cards faster and better?

I really haven't seen much issue there...just double check the features and the brand shouldn't matter much.

No...they just don't come with the fancy retail packaging or software bundles...usually just the bare minimum (video card in a static bag with a driver disc).
