I am torn between the x2 brisbane 3600+ and the brisbane 4800+. As far as I can tell, it is just a clockspeed difference. Question is, is a 3600+ overclocked to 4800+ speeds (2.5ghz) the same performance wise as a stock 4800+?

For the record, I will be using the biostar Tforce 550 motherboard.

Isn't the 4800+ have 1mb L2 cache on each core while the 3600+ has 512kb L2 cache on each core, if so then if you oc the 3600+ to 4800+ speeds it still will be a touch slower if the application uses all the cache of each core. I think the difference wouldn't be more than 15% though.
