Per core overclocking?

Does anyone bother with per core overclocking? I wish reviews did it. I understand I could get some minor higher clocks on on the 1st and 2nd core. Currently I'm at 4.6ghz ( i5-4690K ) only all 4 cores. Intel by default all ready sets each core at different clocks, from higher to lower based on how many cores are active.

For most people the performance increase is minimal for the work required to tailor the overclock. Not to mention many boards do not support this set of features. Its more of a niche.

I'm pretty sure 'per sore' OCing is a misleading name. It is supposed to be for when other cores are disabled.

So "Core 1" OC is actually "3 cores inactive" OC, which means this OC only takes place when 3 cores are parked and q core is active, with enough load to merrit a boost, 'Core 2' is when 2 cores are active, 2 are inactive... etc.

Ok thank you, and the clarification. I won't bother. Purely curiosity.
