is there any way to over clock them? and dont they have like 512 mb cache or something?

I ran a 180 at 200 for a year or so. Ended up overheating components on the board and fried it eventually. Cache is just like the newer chips, different cores had different amounts. 256k to 1mb.

Only if the motherboard allows you to adjust the FSB or multiplier, I ran a PPro 180 @ 266Mhz (66x4) for about 3 minutes on a frozen soda pop can (full of course).

I've been running a dual ppro200(256k cache versions) at 245 for about 2 years. I lapped the cpu's and used 7000RPM delta fans on the heatsinks. It doesn't really make much difference in the end though, they're still dog ass slow by modern standards.

512mb of L2 cache, your crazy.

but yah, you should probebly be able to tweak a 25% overclock out of it.

Most 200's would run 233, some as much as 266.

I have a dual 256k ppro 200 that runs 233 great, (with 448MB of reg ECC EDO Dimms) but it sits unused as I have no need for another slow PC.

One of my old rigs was a 180. I moved the jumpers on the mobo to 200 and ran it without any issues.
