Newegg's description is just wrong, again.

But don't be discourged, several rumors point to the release of a Socket 775 Pentium M this year.

I own the Pentium M 735. It has 478 pins, but it doesn't physically mate with the typical Socket 478 we all know and love. It fits fine in a Socket 479, however.

You do know about the adapter board, right? Asus makes an adapter board which lets you connect a Socket 479 Pentium M to a proper Socket 478.

Yup. I know about the Asus CT-479 or whatever it's called. Again, it was more of a hope than anything.

I got that same processor off newegg, and it was sealed when i got it, but it doesnt have a HSF even though they advertize that it does.

I heard the rumors too and that's what help through me off. If the VARs pushed Intel, yes, Intel will sell them=P
