I have an Insprion 8600 with a Pent M 1.4; and I was wondering if there was any utility that can let me overclock it.

I know that you can't do it in the BIOS; but I was wondering if it's possible with a software utility....

I figure I can hit 1.8 on it....it's a very large, well cooled notebook.

Ideas?

Like SoftFSB or whatever?

wow....no one even cares to see my results?

I'll push it to the limit; but I have to actually have be able to do it first.

siiiigh....

I just don't think it is possible. I don't think there is any way to overclock dell stuff. Maybe someone else knows of a way.

Not 100% sure, but I am thinking that your comp is using a Intel board, if so, you can't overclock the cpu. Intel does not want you to damage there cpu so your can't overclock in BIOS or a kind of software in windows.
