Pentium E2000 Info ...E1000 is no more?

Unless the prices is tremendous you may be better off with a 4300... they killed this thing.

This is actually a good move by Intel...
Dual-cores are "in" now and "Joe Sixpack" will not even want to hear about having a single core CPU in their PC... Prices will most likely be at ~$120 or lower. Not bad for dual-cores. Overclocking should be fun too, with 8x and 9x multis.... Just like e6400 and 6600's now....

It has 512cache x 2 vs the 4300 which I believe has 1mb x 2.

Yea. Kinda like a cheapie Connie. Multies are higher than 8 or 9. I think in the low teens.

So that might not be too bad as teh 4300 is a 9x multi. I believe.

Nope... These are 800MHZ quad pumped CPU's not 533MHz... That means 200MHZ x 8 (E2140) and 200MHz x 9 (E2160)... ;)

Yea u right on the bus... but they have gone for lower mhz and dual instead of high multi and once core

You're mixing your CPU's up... :)
The CPU's in the link are what's gonna be rolled out instead of Conroe-L CPU's... These will be essentially Conroes (dual-core) with less cache and a little slower bus. Conroe-L name will be kept for Celerons only...

heh heh,

The one in the link I put is what got cancelled... The new ones are dual that was single.
