School is out for a few weeks before I start the Summer semester.

I decided to do some cleaning and surprise surprise, I found an LGA775 chip and
an old Asus P5WD2-E board stuffed away in a box.

So just for kicks, I went ahead and set everything up. Behold, that chip which for
some reason I though was Celeron is in fact a 915 D Presler, C1 stepping.

Next, I did exactly what anyone in my position would've done, OC THE CRAP OUT
OF IT.

With a bad IHS (concave), the chip does 4.2GHz @ stock with an Intel heatsink!

Temps are high though, 47+ idle and way low 70s with Orthos stress. But I blame
the room temperature and crappy IHS. I have a Scythe Infinity somewhere I'm going
to dig up. Going to lap it along with the chip.

Do you pros think I'll be able to hit 4.5GHz on air?

My brother hits 4.5 on air with a Presler 950.
He has a Zalman Fatal1ty 77 cooler though.
It's a pretty damn fast system anyway.

Yeah, I'm surprised how smooth everything runs. I will post back results as
soon as I get the chance.

Now, all I really want is AMD/ATI to release a good mid-range DX10 card.
