It happened when they closed genmay and news and the soapbox(and that's as far back as I remember). It should die out in a while. I don't miss those forums one bit.

Actually, this would fit right in "web linkage worth clicking." sort of humorous ;)

Bah, cmon you guys. If you don't like it just don't reply and let it die.

I'm not trying to bring WLWC here or anything, I just thought it was good for a laugh. Sorry.

smart guy, batteries are obviously ac. :p

If you think about it, its not a bad deal for some fans.

I liked WLWC and soapbox was fun sometimes...news was always redundant and genmay was too much.

So, according to this guy, the P5 will be utilizing a new and efficient shape?? Schweet

He originally wanted $4.00 for it, but then he figured it cost him an extra $1.00 in quarters, so....

Usually I don't ever actually laugh at things on the web... maybe a chuckle. But the nickel/quarters glued to the fans set me off, what an idiot, lol.

It looks like he's trying to hide the names on the labels.

That jackass prolly doesn't even know how to photoshop the labels off. Or even use MS Paint to block em out.

yeah.. but some ppl just had to be drama queens about it :(

no no!!!! the quarters are obviously there to make contact with the cores on the cpu (all 4 of them) and spread the heat to the fans. you can then increase your performance by replacing the plastic fans with aluminum fans for the low cost of 4 appropriatly shaped aluminum fans, some hot glue, and a dollar in quarters!!!!!

that would actually be pretty cool if it'd work tho. but really, convert it to run off DC rather than a battery? common, people! think! of course, it would be really easy to convert to DC:p

Someone seriously needs to buy a laptop of his, put it against ALL of the competition. Then sue the shit out of him for false advertising, fraud, and just about every other law they can drum up.

There are some people in this world who should be locked up before they cause anymore damage. These fellahs certainly qualify. Are the fans glued together or something?

people do that to increase spindown time for "extended cooling" after power-off. ive heard one person say that the fan spins faster. this guy selling the fans prolly glued em on thinkin he had some mod goin, but he has the quarters on the wrong damn side anyway. heh.
