i know there are A LOT of thread about temp , but my pc just started to act weird with random freeze and ag

its a pentium 4 3.0e (a 775socket )

my cpu temp at idling is 52-55C and while full load it can reach near 70C. I have a zalman 7700 heatsink on it.

thanks for any info! ill try cleaning the heatsink tommorow

yeesh, thats a terrible temp. Are you overclocked at all? I would definitely try reseating it.

make sure you remove the TIM before and reapply a fresh coat (thin).

I am at 60C at full load and room temp arround 87F. Water cooling also. Air shouldn't go above 65C as a rule of thumb. Reseat your fan and redo the TIM.

PC has a 560 in it BTW.

i just cleaned the heatsink , since its a zalman it catch a lot of dust... and now im back at 32C

one lesson learned... CLEAN YOUR PC OFTEN!

im not overclocked at all btw

32C is at startup , now its more near 36-37C
what is a good software to monitor temperature? i was using everest but wished i could see the temp at all time
