I just pulled this out of a notebook that a friend gave me, it seems to be socket 370 and says SL3QA on it?

Any reccomendations for a cheap mobo I can throw this in and give another computerless friend a pc?
 
Socket 370 P3 boards are not in production anymore, any new ones you find will be at a somewhat higher premium for companies to recoup their losses.

Look for a refurb board or check eBay. One word of caution, avoid HP micro-ATX boards, in my experiance they've had a very short lifespan.
