i'm new to the overclocking scene so please bear with me. i have a 2.66ghz computer that i would at least like to take to a 3.0. i already installed extra fans for the cooling. in my manual for the motherboard it says i can go into the bios and increase the multiplier to run faster. when i go into the bios i don't have the menu like it shows to adjust the multplier. the motherboard is made by EliteGroup. any help would be appreciated.

ok from what i have read so far i know i'm going to have to upgrade my memory. if i take the cpu up to 3.0ghz what type memory should i get? right now i have 2 pc2700 chips, one is a 266mhz and one is a 333mhz. i have 768mb total. should i go with pc3000 chips?

i have pc3200 and i clocked my 2.66 to 3.17 it seems really stable just gets hot when under load but not hot hot just like 51C

thanks for the info guys. after looking into it i think that i'm going to pass on the overclocking. i'm definately going to get a different heatsink/fan setup thouhg.
