Years ago I used to read up on some projects on some website, frostyfox.com or something. It may be a porn site now, I don't care to try it again.

In it he used like 3 loops, each one further cooling water to the point where it was like -30 degress.

The last block was so cold it had a frozen chunk of ice attached to it from freezing condensation, and he had to use insulation to eliminate moisture on the motherboard.

This was back with Slot 1/A days, which was actually kind of nice because he could surround the entire CPU except for a little bit of the PCB on the bottom near the slot with insulation.

Had anyone got any links to updated projects that are simliar to that one?
 
The amount of energy required to operate a TEC these days is enormous. You need a TEC rated for 2x the thermal output of your CPU... which is around 420w for an overclocked Quad Core.

That's just to get it down below ambient.

Cascading TEC setups (where 1 loop gets cooled by a TEC which is cooled by another TEC which is cooled by a third loop with a radiator) requires progressively larger TEC modules... You might end up with 1.1kw of power draw (for around 500w of actual cooling power) which is extremely expensive, innefficient and eco-unfriendly.

Short: People don't do it anymore :)
