Peer 2 Peer issues with Network

Problem: Internet works fine on my new computer, the problem comes from peer 2 peer connections. In short I am unable to fully connect to people in peer 2 peer situations (torrents like WoW's patcher / regular torrent programs). On my old computer I could get full clear connections. (if any of you are familiar with torrent programs yellow means not fully connected, and green means full speed and connected completely in p2p)

How I fixed it last time: I had to teak some network settings on my older motherboard and network settings to get the Gigabit network adapter going full stream. However I can't for the life of me remember almost 2-3 years back what exactly those settings were.

Any suggestions? -- Spec's and settings included below --

**Running through router - all the ports are correctly open and port forwarding is already set up. This is the Host or Main computer in the network it has no firewalls installed currently**

MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI

Onboard LAN

Running through a router with all the proper ports open and port forwarding setup (previously setup for my other computer).

Priority & Vlan - Disabled both (Default: Disabled both)
Speed/Duplex settings - Force 100 Full Duplex (Default: Full Autonegotiation)
Wake on Magic Packet - Enabled (Default: Enabled)
Wake on Pattern - Enabled (Default: Enabled)
Wake on Lan from Power off - Enabled (Default: Enabled)

1394 Adapter does not have any adjustable settings listed.

Power management: Unchecked allow to turn off device.

I would guess that your ISP is blocking the port you are using or your router is being overloaded with connections.
 
When you say you have forwarded ports... did you forward both TCP and UDP? I'm at work and so I can't check my router... but I think I got the TCP/UDP (Or is it UPNP???) terminology correct.

P2P like Azureus used both, and you have to forward both.

One port is enough, and don't use the default port provided by your P2P software. Pick some random port... like 5555 or something.
