• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Found this on Lifehacker.

PDFzilla lets you convert PDFs to DOC, RTF, images, HTML, and SWF.
It's available for free until February 5th. http://www.pdfzilla.com/giveaway.html

Make sure to use the registration code on the Giveaway page. Couldn't figure out how to register it for free until I read it somewhere. :p

EDIT: Just compared this with PDFtoHTML.
Source PDF size: ~23 MB
PDFZilla HTML: ~20 MB
PDFtoHTML: ~3.5 MB

Only problem is, PDFtoHTML is commandline only. If you want a nice GUI and more features, than this seems better, just be aware that the output file sizes may not be great on more complex PDFs such as those with tons of images. The same file when converted to RTF or DOC resulted in two 300 MB files that took several minutes to open in OpenOffice and hung WordPad.

This might do better in the Free Stuff subforum at:

http://hardforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=98

Could ask an Admin or Mod to move it there, unless they do it automagically.

And yes, a nice find, thanks for the info. The Wife has been bugging me for something that can edit PDFs, so now it's easier to convert with this to Word (since we have Office 2010) and then print back to PDF using CutePDF.

Can you use the registration code to activate past Feb 5th? or is this the only time you can install and activate it.

I presume the registration code would be deemed invalid after Feb 5.
