PCIe x1 Video Cards

So the family PC needs an upgrade in the video department.
It's a DELL E310 Desktop that has two extra PCI slots and a PCI-e x1.

I can't find any video cards that are PCI-e x1... am I going to have to settle for PCI? There are no VGA slots.

Any recommendations for the best cards available in this situation would be great. THANKS!

Actually, you can mod the slot (eg., cut off the block at the end and plug in a full-blown x16 card, provided nothing interferes on the motherboard) and run any graphics card at x1 speeds. It surprisingly isn't too bad in games, but is absolutely horrible for workstations. Obviously you void your Dell warranty, but you technically do this just by opening the side panel. It'll basically be the same mod as on the SC420 server.

Thanks for the quick responses. So far it seems as though PCI may be the best bet?
FX5700/FX5700LE if I can find one?

The modding wouldn't be possible on this machine. It's a very interesting concept that I'll probably find useful in the future, but this machine isn't exactly *my* property, so I wouldn't be able to do this. Also, that Maxtor PCIe x1 doesn't really seem to be anything worthwhile, but if anyone has experience with it please do say so.

the Matrox card is for the business market....financial market ...basically not designed for 3D at all, i think it's based on the G550

A video card designed for the buisness/financial market? I didn't realise there was a market for video cards in that industry.
