PCIE lane configuration questions abouth the EVGA classified.

Currently, I have two GTX 260s occupying the first and third slot. I'd like to add in my 9800GTX as a PhysX processor. I've got two options: I can either move the second GTX 260 to the second slot and install the 9800GTX in the third, or I can install the 9800GTX in the second slot. Will it make a difference?
 
pcie full x16 slots are #2 and #3. Slot 5 is a 16x/8x and slot 6 is an 8x. Put the 9800 in 5 or 6, the vid cards in 2 and 3. It shouldn't make much of a difference but why limit the vid cards to 8x. It's all in the manual btw.
 
It doesn't matter either way. If you have the version of the board with the NF200 chipset, all three slots will run at 16x so the particular configuration of the cards won't make a difference. If it's the version without the NF200, the second and third slots both run at 8x, so it doesn't matter which one is used.
 
Thanks for the responses. I looked at the manual, but I guess I missed it.

Good to know that it won't really matter.
