PCIe 1x Card suggestions?

I just ordered that nice Asus MVP Deluxe, and a couple X1950 Pros to run in Crossfire.

Unfortunately, crossfire kills the 2nd output on each card, and I run 3 monitors that I want to keep. Since the MB has that little PCIe 1x slot right in between the 2 PCIe 16x, figured I would slap something nice and usefull in there to gain an extra output without completly killing my performance.

Anyone know about the X1300 PCIe 1x? If it's not the one I should be grabbing, any alternatives? Finding a 1x PCIe card is NOT easy.. and we all know you can't mix Nvidia with ATI...

Hollar yer ideas troops!

Well, if you want to use the PCIe x1 slot, I hope the x1950 pro HSFs will not block it. If they won't block, you could use an x1300 like the HIS Hightech H130HMF128E1N, but it is a little pricey. It does look like you would have a few free regular PCI slots open though, so as an alternative, you could get any inexpensive Radeon 9250 with PCI interface.

I read here on [H] that the fastest PCI card available was the X1300 PCI... a better performer then the 9250s.. I guess I need to know if anyone has tested which perfprms betterr the PCIe 1x or the base PCI? Since its virtually the same card, just with a diffrent interface, anyone actually test em?
