Hello there

I have Asus P4T-E board and I want to upgrade to SATA hard drives (Western Digital Raptor), unfortunately this board has ICH2 for southbridge and no SATA controllers.

I thought that maybe a PCI controller might do the job for me, but I'm a little concerned about a poor SATA performance because of the PCI bus saturation.

Anyone knows about a forum that compares PCI sata controllers and ICH5??

Maybe check the Highpoint and Siig sites and see if they have 'review' links on them...
