I was wondering are pci express cards compatable with oldschool PCI? or will they only work with pci express slots?
 
The PCI-E slot is about 3 inches long... about 1/4 a regular PCI slot is.
 
all PCI express slots are different sizes, 1X slots are very tiny, and 16X are longer than PCI and agp slots, although not as long as ISA.
