you hit the nail on the head...almost everything is already integrated onto the mobo so besides a vid card there is nothing else for the pci-e bus...i mean take a look at the DFi nf4 series (which i have and love) it has integrated usb 2.0, firewire, 5.1 sorround sound (maybe 7.1 i cant remember),ethernet and an additional gigabit ethernet port with an integrated hardware firewall...what else do you need reallyBillLeeLee said:Well, the only x1 PCI-Express devices I know of are some gigabit ethernet cards. Of course, most any current motherboard you can buy already has one. Other than that, demand hasn't been there for any PCI-Express devices these days except for video cards.
