Anyone know if either of the following adapters would work with a PCI-E 2.0 capable motherboard and graphics card?

Any other suggestions for these type of adapters?

Also, in general, when a motherboard has multiple PCI-E 2.0 slots, can you pick any of them as the primary and have it run at x16 speed? I am thinking about using the PCI-E 2.0 slot closest to the edge on the Foxconn Renaissance motherboard.

I'm assuming that if I use a dual GPU card, each half of the card only sees x8 regardless?

My only concern with those adapters is whether they could handle the extra power that is fed through the 2.0 bus.

As for the primary slot. I've not yet seen a board that allows you to pick the primary. That is usually pre-defined by the board maker.

Yeah, that worries me as well. I think I'll just rethink what I was going to do with the case rather than risk it. :)

Looks pretty good, but I think I've decided on a different route now with the case I have planned. Thanks for the link though. :)
