Even unzoomed I can see the name starts with a v and looks like viper. These pics are quite old actually, just look up "ati viper chip" on google and you will see some shots from a couple months back. It's the exact same chip pictured in all of those news stories, even has the same 28 markered on it
 
Those are some big caps there. And I'm guessing the final will have more than two RAM squares.

It only has 2 ram squares because its a proof of concept GDDR3 board
 
That looks like a fake to me. That PCI connector looks like it would fit into a current one, and I am 99% positive that will not be possible.
 
I wish it had a cooler on it. (I want to see what it looks like! ;))
