I just built a media/gaming PC using a Micro ATX board. The double-wide video card results in the TV tuner card being close to the video card cooling fan. I feel if the video card is under stress, some airflow could be blocked.
There is room further away from the video card, where I could easily mount the TV tuner card (unused slot on the case). So I was thinking of using the adapter cable, one end plugged into the motherboard PCI-E slot, and the other plugged into the relocated TV tuner card.
Thanks for any opinions or experience with this sort of thing.
