PCI-E Connector Question

Hi, I have a budget system for my son with a power supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817162017that does not have PCI-E connectors. I just bought an ATI 4670 PCI-E video card.

Questions....

1. Does the ATi 3850 require a PCI-E connector?
2. Do all PCI-E video cards require PCI-E power connectors or are there any with standard ones?
3. If yes, what do I need? A 4pin peripheral to 6pin PCI-E adapter?

Can you link his motherboard?

If he has an AGP board, he can't run a PCI-E video card. They're different slots:

By the way I also just purchased an ATI HD 4670 video card. I am just trying to figure out the power connectors with my power supply vs this card? The motherboard in this case is insignifigant.

I do not believe a 4670 needs additional power connectors. It only pulls about 60 watts so the slot can handle it by itself.

Does anyone know much about that PSU. It's high 3.3/5V amperages and relatively low 12V rating make me suspect it's an older model that won't be happy with the extremely 12V centric power loads of new mobo/CPUs. At a minimum I'd suggest treating it as a 350 or even only a 300W unit in terms of power planning.

+12V@24A is more than fine for a 600W power supply running a video card (4670) that uses minimal power. Plus the customers reviews were good. People were powering higher end systems with it.
