Im on a budget right now and im upgrading slowly!

I have enough money to buy the MSI pt880 and a 2.8C 800fsb HT but not enough to get the 1GB of kinston ram... so i was wondering if i could just buy these 2 and run it with my pc2100 memory?
Just for about 2 or 3 week until i have enough to buy the new ram... probably pc3700 or pc4000

Thanks

Yup, you can run them.

Quality PC2100 usually runs PC2700 speeds without too much difficulty and some can be run at PC3200 speeds with loose timings and a good jolt of VDimm.

All that would happen is the faster memory would downclock to PC2100.

It should run fine, it will just be slower. The only problem I could see is if the motherboard doesn't like the ram. <Compatability issue>
