Hey guys , my pc boots fine if im @ 3.2ghz.....

@ 3.4ghz im 10 hours P95 stable and havent had a single crash....

Q6600
XFX780i
2x9800GTX
XFI sound card
Corshair 750w psu

bios settings :

CPU voltage : 1.5625 (cpu z shows it as 1.45v)

nb voltage 1.45v

2x2GB DDR800 ram @ 950mhz 5-5-5-15 (it aint the memory , if i keep ram @ stock pc still wont coldboot)

bassically , if I leave my pc off for over an hour , I then have to turn it on a few times...like 3 usually , or i can just let it hang for a few minutes and wait for it to "warm up"...then it will boot.....it will freeze anywhere , first boot at the splash screen , then maybe wile loading windows etc.....

got the latest PO4 bios

tried resetting cmos , pulling out battery etc....

any help is appreciated!

hrm. 1.56 on a q6600 is pretty friggin high... espically for 3.4ghz.
dunnot if that qualifies as on or off topic... but just wanted to point that out.

any reason its so high? have you tried lower voltages?

Just before attempting a cold boot try switching off the PSU until the board caps drain. Renergize the PSU then coldboot and post the result.

k will do that tommorow...thanks....

any lower vcore and it fails prime:(.....

but vdroop takes it down to 1.45v

still... seems high. are you sure that at a lower vcore, it crashes because of the vcore, and not the nb/sb voltages?
reason i ask is- i am at 3.0ghz at 1.28v... close speed, big voltage difference.

also, i think you mean vdrop, not vdroop.
