The pc in question: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/sy2zNN

What happened
>opened League of Legends Client
>pc froze
>hard reset
>won't turn on

What happens when I press power button
>mouse and monitor won't show activity
>kb backlight is on even without turning on the pc but no function
>unplugged everything and replugged it all in
>no work
>tried resetting cmos
>no work
>tried all sticks of ram seperately
>no work
>tried everything unplugged (peripherals wise)
>fans spin for a few seconds then off

What can I do now?

Unplug the PSU from everything.
On the large motherboard power connector from the PSU, connect the green wire to black with a bit of wire and it should power up.
If this works it doesnt mean the PSU is ok, it might still not have enough power for your system.
But if it doesnt power up its a gonner for sure.

Try another PSU with your system.
Make sure it has enough power to handle your system, you dont want to risk a PSU blowout.

Do you have another computer that you could borrow the PSU from to test with?

That would help narrow it down rather than just buying parts at random.

.

Unplug everything (cards, usb, ps/2, etc...) from the mobo except for the proc, with no ram in the board should beep like crazy. If it does then its safe to say the motherboard is ok, if not then start there.

**I had this happen to me once, turned out the video card decided that it was through with doing its job and decided to quit.

Backup power supplies are more useful than back up motherboards. Roll the dice and buy one or the other.

Or if you live near Enchiladaville, stop by and we will test it with my power supply.:doctor:
