PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOVLED

3yr old pc was (mostly) fine until a day ago.

fans spin up, hard drives spin up, cpu fan spins up, but no post screen.

I replaced the cmos battery and reset the cmos.

tried different combos of RAM in different slots.

pulled the whole thing apart and rebuilt it, including reseating the cpu and i just can't get a BIOS screen.

mobo: GA-P35-DS3L
cpu: e8500

long story: about 3 months ago this started happening where the pc wouldn't boot up. i would turn it off and on for a few minutes and finally it would boot just fine. i solved this by just never turning it off. well i forget a few nights ago and didn't turn it back on after windows updates.

yep , did all the regular stuff before i came here and checked the sticky before i posted.

only thing i haven't done is breadboarded it because it's been working fine for ~3 years. if it were a new build i would have.

i'm thinking it's the mobo but want to be sure before i run out and buy a new one; i just don't have money for stuff like that right now.
