PC-V1000B

It can become quite time consuming... and when I have it powder coated (decided on gloss black, instead of copper), it'll be the third time I've disassembled mine. I'll also be cutting a 120.3 rad grill out, but I won't do that until next month... the fourth time.:D

bad news after the new powder coating got back.

There's some orange peel in some areas, but over all, I'm happy... especially since it cost me $18.

Thanks, there's a few spots under the main board, but you can't see those...

anyone interested in some custom colors check out where I got my powder from.

My case used about 1/4lb. of powder.

Sucks that your card died again, thank god for the EVGA warranty, you back to the 9800's again?

This is the first card, and I got it exactly one month before it 'died'. When I had the 9800 SLI, I sold one for $130 to a member here, then sent the other one in for the step-up (card plus $50). Good news is the 260 was night and day better than the 9800s. The frames stayed very close, but I was able to use more texture detail and AA with the 260.

Don't know why this card died. I did overclock it, but temps never went past 65* with the fan on auto.

Using an 8600GT until Friday, I hope... and yes it does suck.

More pics... will update when mosfet coolers arrive.

Gotta get some new fans... I want some crazy import ricer led fans yo

I'm thinking of the 120MM Coolermaster white LED fans. anyone have anything to say about them?

Changed power LED today from blue to white. I'll leave the red in, I think it's still suits the case scheme.

I'm going to order some of the silent white LED Coolermaster 120mm fans. Anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks!

More pics now that the Mosfet coolers are here. After trying a few different arrangements, I found the only one to allow me to use all the parts in my specific case... this BTX makes things much more complicated than needed.

If you'd like me to get any specific angle, lmk. I'm waiting now on one package of white LED fans to replace the black ones, and two more whit ccfls (the others spontaneously died). Now, I'll need to work on the window and smoked acrylic. I'm thinking of a plain, simple rectangle with rounded corners to match the case, and show only the motherboard area. If there's anyone with pictures on there PC-V series case who cut there own window, I'd really appreciate some pictures of inside the panel (how the plexi/acrylic is mounted).

While it does look like the fan clips are touching one mosfet sink, they do in fact clear it... barely.

In no specific order, and tottaly out of order:

Just realised the power LED still looks blue in the pics above. I can't remember if those pics were before or after I toned it down some. I removed the clear plastic cover from the Lian Li led housing and sanded it down with some 600 grit paper. Next I heatshrinked the majority of the led saving only the top, trying to keep it from over powering the red ide led. It worked. It's difficult to catch the white with my camera, but I'm pleased with it. Definately going to have to do something about the power switch. Probaly a black/white led vandal.
