Running an ASRock extreme4 motherboard and for some reason my computer randomly turns on. I will turn it off, go to bed, and wake up to see that it is back on. I checked the bios to make sure that wake by lan/usb/ps2 ect... is all turned off and it is. This morning I was in the kitchen making breakfast and I watched it turn on by itself. I'm starting to think it's possessed o_O

What power state is it set to when you "turn it off"?
Sleep, hibernate, or complete off.

yeah, still does it. I wonder if it could be because I have the dehumidifier option turned on. Going to turn that off and see if it still does it..

That must be what it is. I didn't know wtf it was so I looked it up. Neat concept. Here is the info from the site.

"Users may prevent motherboard damages due to dampness by enabling “Dehumidifier Function”. When enabling Dehumidifier Function, the computer will power on automatically to dehumidify the system after entering S4/S5 state."

I bet this is your issue.

i used to do this to my wife through wake-on-lan to mess with her...(along with vnc, random mouse movements/random text.... )
then she got smart and firewalled me out..

the dehumidifier function is a new one for me...
