I recently cleaned my computer and now I am getting a buzzing sound on bright (white) web pages? It is not coming from the monitor. It's coming out of the speakers. JBL LSR305's connected via XLR to onboard sound on my Asus Gene VI. I've checked the connections. I plugged in my Philips X2 headphones into the same jack and it doesn't have any buzzing... :confused:

Any ideas? Thanks!
 
put a bright white screen on the monitor till you hear buzzing, then turn off the monitor and see if the buzzing stops in the speakers. might be picking up noise from the monitor.
maybe move your audio cables around away from the video cable.
 
Nope, still there. It's not just white screens. Anything bright.
 
I had buzzing with my BX5's, and I don't know the cause but it had something to do with the ground, so I ungrounded the speakers and my buzz went away.
My issue wasn't just with one PC, I had my HTPC down here and it buzzed, then I built a new machine with a Soundblaster ZX and it it still buzzed. Removing the ground using a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter fixed the issue I had.
