CPU: 4690K
MB: MSI Z97-G43
PSU: Corsair CX-430 V2
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 1600

edit: you'll probably need a heatsink as well once you start overclocking

Here are my recommendations:

171,10€ - Intel Core i5-4570
69,60€ - MSI B85 PC Mate
68,90€ - Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB DDR3 1866 DIMM
61,30€ - Corsair CX600 V2 600W PSU
=====
370,90€ - Total before VAT, shipping, and other charges

Four hundred euros isn't enough for a good Intel overclocking setup, so I focused on cheaper yet equally capable alternatives.

What are you using right now for a display?

What's the model number of your Samsung DVD drive?

So what im thinking to buy:

CPU - Intel Core i5 4670K (3.4GHz) Socket 1150.
Or
- Intel Core i5 4690 (3.5GHz) Socket 1150
PSU - XFX Pro 550W Core Edition
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 4GB DDR3 1866MHz
MB - ??

Whats the best mb for each cpu? My total is arround 310€ so only have 90€ spare.

Does the psu handle a 270x or so?

Thanks for all the help.

The XFX Pro 550W PSU can handle any single video card up to a GTX 770. For the R9 290/290X and the GTX 780 (Ti), you'll need something more powerful.

As for the processors, I don't believe that you should pursue an i5-4670K or an i5-4690K if you can't afford to. The "good" Z97 motherboards we normally recommend for overclocking would each cost more than 90€. You'll also have to buy a good third-party CPU cooler; the cheapest one we normally recommend is the 30€ Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, which isn't the best choice available.

You should grab 8GB of RAM now. Many of today's games and programs will use that much RAM.

I recommend that you stick with my processor, motherboard, and RAM recommendations. While the i5-4690 is the faster processor, you won't notice the 300MHz difference between it and the i5-4570 in gaming. Your new video card plus a good SSD would create a more noticeable performance boost.

Im trying to get some extra funds for an oc build, thats why my interest.

In terms of RAM should i go with a dual or single channel? Does that make any diference?

Can you live without overclocking? If you can't obtain the extra money, then it's not worth sacrificing certain components (like RAM) just to have one component that you may or may not overclock later.

I believe that you won't notice the difference. Synthetic benchmarks have shown that a dual-channel RAM configuration outperforms single-channel, but many users couldn't tell in their everyday tasks.

I guess ill just go with a locked cpu.

So far:
PSU - XFX Pro 550W Core Edition
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB DDR3 1866MHz

( CPU - Intel Core i5 4590 (3.3GHz) Socket 1150
MB - Motherboard Asus H97-Plus

Or

CPU - Intel Core i5 4690 (3.5GHz) Socket 1150
MB - Motherboard ASRock H97 Pro4 )

Is the Motherboard ASRock H97 Pro4 good?
