PC Problems Need Help

Ok so here goes.

First off my system specs:
Abit IP35 Pro Motherboard
Intel Quad Core Q6600
4 gb OCZ gold RAM PC2 6400
Nvidia 8800GTS 512 MB gfx card
OCZ 700w GameStream PSU
Seagate 120 GB HD (currently.. explain in a minute)

Here is what seems to be the problem. One day I started my computer and it wouldnt recognize my Logitech G15 Keyboard (attached through USB), even though it recognized my USB mouse. So I plugged the G15 into my fiance's laptop and it works just fine. I grabbed an old ps2(I think) keyboard and it worked just fine in the normal keyboard spot.
While I was busy finding a keyboard that works my computer was doing something rather odd. It would boot up, go to the black screen where the options on safe mode, sm with networking, last known good config, etc... are. I chose last known good config and then it went to the windows loading screen. After the windows loading screen it reverted back to my mobo loading screen and went through that same process over and over. I attempted a windows repair but for some reason my keyboard will not let me use the f8 key. The KB is working because I can scroll down and hit enter but no f8 to repair (same result when I tried to reformat). I know this sounds odd but does anyone have advice or anything?
Oh, the 120 gb HD is a blank HDD that I had and I plugged it in instead of my main HD to try a fresh windows install but to no avail. Thanks for reading and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure you running latest motherboard bios and cmos defaults loaded, then run memtest for some loops, once everything checks ok, try a clean windows install (if running XP, try slipstreaming sp3 first) and get latest drivers for everything.

Dont forget to clean / recreate / reformat partitions on hard disks while on windows setup ;)

hope it helps :D

I cant even get into windows so how would i check for the lastest BIOS? Also I just ran a memtest and at the end it just rebooted my PC.

Sounds like you have multiple problems. I'm betting you have a motherboard issue, either shorting or failing. If Memtest is rebooting on you, you may have a motherboard or power problem.

And how did you fix the 'F8' issue?

F Lock was on and I wasnt able to use f8, so I turned it OFF and I was able to... Anyway I got everything going smoothly except my USB ports are still not working. Whenever I plug my razer mouse into one, the mouse blinks red (the color that it usually glows) very quickly and then turns off.

Some boards are setup this way: Only two USB ports (the primary ones) work at bootup, the rest load typically when the OS loads.

But it worked fine for 1.5 years. And none of my usb ports work.. Should I just get a new motherboard?

Ok guys thanks for all the suggestions.. I was able to fix it in the BIOS. I am not sure if I am allowed to post links to other sites but here is where I found the info.
