PC Power PS - Retailers?

Directron and a few other places carry them. Sometimes you can get a deal on one from the FS/FT forum. I have a 300w 1U and 350W ATX from them that are spares right now - PM if interested =)

man 175-193.00?!?!?!

I know in the past they would rebadge Fortron-Source units (Fortron, Sparkle, SPI, etc...)

Are they still doing this and raking the prices up that high?

They used to use FSP for some of their lower end ones, and may still do so. The higher priced ones are Zippy/Emacs manufactured.

It is my understanding that PC Power & Cooling doesn't make their own power supplies, but instead modifies/beefs up already good power supplies from manufacturers like Fortron Source and Zippy/Emacs.

Ordering direct online will get you free shipping which most of the other places lack.

No free shipping on my order! Got charged 4% for Fedex Ground, about $8 on the 510 deluxe. Still OK I guess.

PC Power and Cooling uses primarily Fortron Source parts. PCP&C add some extreme heatsinks and whatnot to make them run cooler than other power supplies. All in all though they are the best but just about the loudest you can buy along with the fact they aren't worth their price tag unless you want the best of the best. I stick with Antec and Enermax PSU's in all my builds and the custom builds i contract out. Antec PSU's run cool, only $60 for a 430w True Power, and they have rock stable voltages.

The larger the PSU you buy usually the less efficient they get. The Antec 430w is more efficienty then the PCP&C 510w and it doesn't put out 44 db :p.
