PC Power & Cooling 1kw

I think the rig in his sig. Also, theres' a typo

Lan-LI 2000
FX-55 2.8 AC H20 Cooled
DFI SLI DR OCZ Platinum 2x1024
2 ASUS TOP 7800 GTX's AC H20 Cooled
Raptor 74G boot drive
2x160G Barracudas Raid 0
PSU PC P&C 510 SLI

That's a lot of PSU. Could probably power 3 of my rigs with it, and then some.
Hopefully you can make good use of it.

And I noticed the typo too. Or perhaps it's a misspelling.

Like the old rhyme goes - "I" before "E", except after "C". Or when sounds like "A" as in "neighbor" or "weigh". ;)

with that rig, the PSU is still overkill

Probably dual boot for the near future.

you owe it to yourself to benchmark around a bit in Linux too
say Suse 10

are you doing CG or DV?

Im running a K8W w\ 244s 4GB + FX3000
you probably could have gotten away with the 510 currently but Id have opted for the 1KW for that box as well, better expansion path

Did I mention it was big?

now that is purdy ;)

looks like aside from the 5.25" bay youve used just about all the space you got :p

hmmm...stick a rad & pump in that bay take a intake duct from the top, and exhaust a rad out the front...
sorry PICs always give me ideas :p

Actually, the bays are not the problem. The problem is the room needed for the RADs. I am into the aesthetic look so the front will not work. My last system was cooled with Aqua Computer gear. This case is big, but the Mb is large and now I have dual everything so I have lost a great deal of space. The best way to H2O cool this rig would be to use an external RAD. It would have to be quite large and there a few on the market. Unfortunately, I didnt have the time to wait, nor did I plan enough in advance. So for the time being I will stick with air cooling, besides ther is not much overclocking potential with this MB. Thanks for the reply.

What model Zalman coolers are those? A lot of people I've seen are sticking XP-90Cs in their Opty systems.

They are CNPS 9500 CPU coolers and VF700 CU VGA coolers. I had XP-90's in my old rig, the Zalmans spank the XP's, and I am not BS'ing at all. In the words of Frank, Night and day!

nice looking machine. and psu.

put about 10 more drives in and you might start to stress it :p

ice czar: hmm... looks like fun

Nice setup. My PC P&C 850 is just as large and in the same case, so I can relate to your pics. I decided to leave out the nearest HDD cage since I only have 2 HDD's for now, which gave me more room to organize my cables. I'm thinking of putting some extra 120mm fans down there to blow up.

I just added two 120mm fans in the bottom and the case is very cool. Makes me wonder why I ever spent so much on H2O cooling
