MAKE magazine is probably the closest thing you'll get.

Grabbed this real quick from the site : Hack your plants, extract your DNA, 70's soapbox saga, build a videocam rocket, and head-mounted water cannon.

In the States, the closest thing you are going to get are MaxPC and CPU. MAKE is a bit mor technical in flavor, but modding is a component of it.

The UK has 2 mag that run, the largest one is CustomPC. You can usually find that one @ a larger book store (Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.) Go to a place that has a large magazine section like the stores olisted above, you'll see what is offered.

Agreed--while both CPU and MaximumPC aren't focused exclusively on modding they both have monthly features devoted to readers' mods and often have other articles related to odding. I subscribe to both, but if I had to choose one I'd go with CPU.

Computer Power User is the way to go... I buy backordered magazines on fleabay for like .99 + shipping for a past years issues.

They make these mags\books called PC Modder and they are GREAT! :)

That's kinda a cool way to get a subscription.........I should try that some time for other mags
