How could I turn a spare PC into a jukebox? It has an Audigy2 soundcard, and I want to connect it my Onkyo Dolby Digital receiver. What would be the best way to do that?

Also, does anyone know of any full screen GUI music players? Perhaps one that would be password protected so you can't get back to the desktop, without a restart? It needs to be very easy to use (drunk people), and maybe even only have the possibility to add songs to a playlist, not to stop a song from playing, unless you have the password.
 
check under winamp or Windows media player.

maybe the other windows edition has something like that. forget what its called.

also for a connection, Digital out? logically it should be the best
 
Windows "Plus!" package has something like that, as does Windows Media Center Edition.
 
I'm a big fan of Meedio. It looks great, is totally customizeable and easy to control. It is also only $20 right now.

I just built one for my brother-in-law with a PIII 933 and 256MB ram on XP. Works flawlessly. His setup plays digital audio, shows pictures, shows the weather, sports scores, tracks stocks, and is all controlled with a remote and hooked to his home theater.
