Can someone here tell me the best plase to buy PC ice for my W/C. I now have all the parts - the GPU water block, but it will be here this week.I know it's Expensive compared to distilled water, but will be better in the long run
 
Thank you for the information. I think I will go with the blue or green. Will have to see when the time comes
 
no problem.
i use pc ice and like it. non toxic and biodegradeable are the main reasons i went with it.
dont believe the non conductive poop though.
 
There were some issues with the power-dye that would clock up blocks like the Cuplex XT and Storm, but those appear to be fixed.
 
non conductive may or may not be true, but its non conductive enough that when i started to leak from the connection on my resevoir a week after running it fine, and it dripped all over my hard drives and cables, nothing happened. i think water getting in there would have been bad. btw the blue stuff looks nice, and even though ive gotten the supposed new formula, i have noticed some buildup.
 
no buildup in mine and ran it for about 2 months. i just took my whole system apart and was clean, an ever so slight film on my hose but it wasnt off color or anything...
 
Why don't you make your own cooling liquid?
Its not like half this stuff just contains distilled water, methlyene Glycol (AKA Rad fluid), usually there is a color dye or a UV Dye put it for effects, the equivalant of Water Wetter for keeping the tension down and keeping mineral deposits down.

You can make your own cooling liquid and still have the same performance as the bought liquids.

water wetter isn't ideal as it tends to discolour your tubing. distilled water and zerex is great. distilled water and whatever automotive antifreeze you like the colour of is also fine. pentosin blue antifreeze (VW/audi) is pretty popular, simply because of the colour.
