Hey guys, I just need some help diagnosing this problem.
Today I was playing a game called Heros Of Newearth (or something like that) and the memory usage on it would jump to 800,000k when normally I would never see it go past 200,000k and then when I'm in game the computer would start beeping. Not any series of beeps or anything just one long continuous beep that does not stop. Once I shut off the program the beeping stops.
One thing to note, this morning I had the same issue and firefox was showing to use up 800,000k memory and it would jump between HoN and firefox. So, now I'm not sure if it was just the latest version of this program that was just programmed really badly or if it some sort of ram issue.
The specs for my PC are in my signature (in case I forgot to update it I have 6 gigs of ram, G.Skillz, Vista 64, quad core 6600q intel, 8800GT nvidia and the rest should be there). Thanks for any and all help!
Are there any programs I can use to try and fix this? Also, I went into device manager and update most of my drivers. Is it a vista issue or ram? I'm lost.
