I have a sony 60r550a. My video card is a Asus r9 290. My question is how will gaming on it be. Will there be any type of noticeable lag on it and how will be the graphic quality on it. I just like want to game on a bigger screen.

PC games look great on a big screen, just put it in gaming mode, as dragonageinquisition mentioned. more importantly is how you control it. Keyboard / mouse controls lend themselves to a more upright posture, while TV usually means sitting on a couch. Get a good gamepad, or find a wireless keyboard / mouse combo (I could never find a wireless keyboard setup I actually liked FWIW)

Why don't you just try?

I don't know what the lag is on this model, but most of Sony's W series models from the last two years or so are near the top when it comes to input lag on TVs. Still somewhat higher than desktop monitors, though.

What I find annoying in TVs for computer usage is their bad uniformity. Also, depending on your distance from the screen and the screen size, the limited viewing angles become a problem even if you sit centered.
