Ok so i went to a book store yesterday and picked up PCGAMER: Ultimate How-Tos For Gamers! And i really enjoyed it. But when i went to there website this months issue is all about games, no hardware really. Is there any good Hardware Gaming Magazines?

ahh i wish this was in the us http://www.custompc.co.uk/

something like this magazine.

I always liked Maximum PC. Its the sister magazine to PC Gamer too so if you like PC Gamer you might like Maximum PC as well.

Yeah, Maximum PC is about the only one that focuses on hardware. Sad part is, the PC Hardware section in PC Gamer became crap once they launched Max PC. Moved almost all the content there.

Yeah, Maximium PC is great. Been reading it for many years. Only $1 an issue, too. ;)

I'm surprised you can't find Custom PC where you are. It's available here in Canada. But, usually at newstands rather than big chain book stores. Its a great magazine. Try looking around at cigar stands/newstands rather than bookstores...maybe you'll see it.

The internet really put a hurting on those types of mags, unfortunately...

No newstands in my city (i live in louisiana) maybe at a different book store!

I used to read those magazines, but everything in them is about 6 weeks old by the time they come out.

I used to buy Computer Gaming World and Maximum PC for years. But now the internet seems to have all the information you need and then some. Have stopped buying computer related magazines for 2 or 3 years I think.

try http://www.extremetech.com/

this is by Lloyd Case I think who used to write the hardware column for Computer Gaming World. Not too technical technical, and not to shallow.

http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/ is my personal favourite mag. Good blend of hardware, modding, and gaming, with a decent amount of testosterone going on. I also buy NZ PC World, just to see what 'normal' people are up to in the world of computing.

I'm ashamed to say that I've pretty much stopped buying both technology and gaming related magazines all together. I used to subscribe to a good few, such as PC Gamer, but unfortunately, there really just isn't any need for me to do so anymore. There are so many great websites out there that are updated with new content DAILY, and not just monthly.

However, if you need that type of magazine, I'd have to also throw in my vote for Maximum PC. It's all I've really come across in printed format that deals with what you're after.

Maximum PC is a great bathroom browsing mag. I don't know what I'd do without it. A lot of my friends stock the bathroom with FHM type mags, but I don't wanna touch myself when I'm taking a dook.

I read customPC and PC Zone.

My buddy also reads customPC and gets runner up in the caption competition nearly every month. its a conspiracy that he has yet to win. :D

Another vote for Maximum PC. IMHO, the last great gaming magaine was PC Accelerator, but since it went belly up, Maximum PC is you nextbest bet.
