Hello, when you connect a pc to a LCD TV, is the max resolution you can set on the graphics card 1080x?

Right now i have a gateway fhd2400, 24 inch monitor and i have it set on 1920x1200. I want to buy a 55 inch led lcd.

If your TV is 1080p, then the highest you can set it to is 1080p.
