so the pc displays the bios screen and i can go in and change bios settings. once it start to load windows (xp) the screen just goes black. if i press f8 i can see all of the normal options, but when i chose safe mode, again the screen just goes black. i swapped the hdd into another pc (same dell model) and the same thing happens. i have run a chkdsk /r and that came back mostly clean. i am running an in place repair right now of xp. is there anything else i can do before i reimage the machine?
