I just signed up for paypal and am waiting for account confirmation. My question is do
you get an account number? Do you establish heatware through paypal or elsewhere?
I know these questions may seem foolish ,but i have never done this type of internet transaction. I would appriciate any advice you could give me.
 
Your Paypal account number is the email address you listed when you signed up for it. To confirm your Paypal account you need to have a checking account as well as your credit card linked to it.

Do you have to list a credit card ? I would prefer not to. Thanks for your reply. The only
online transactions i have done are with online vendors i.e. NEW EGG.
 
Not necessarily a credit card, you can use a debit card linked to your checking account.
 
Correct, your debit card backed by MC, Visa, etc for your checking account will suffice, PP uses the credit system for transactions, so some type of issued access number. IE: debit card # or CC# is necessary. Make sure you do the two transaction thing they require in the beginning also, this gets the delay out of the way and activates your PP account.

Heatware is relatively easy to setup and once done, you're all set, just remember to post your Heatware name to those you do business with.

you can also get a paypal debit card which allows you to get access to the money in your paypal account, like if you sold something and were paid through paypal, avoids having to wait three days for your paypal balance to get transferred to your checking account
