Just something to keep an eye on for you sellers- dont think this is a major problem but its burnin me right now.

sold item on ebay. sold for $114

item payment invoice sent. i SWEAR i triple checked all the addresses. my email address was right!

seller says they paid. paypal account shows nothing.

i ask seller what address they used- and it was "****@paypal.com" !! ive never seen a "paypal.com" address before.

paypal says the buyer can stop payment because the address is not even valid.

buyer tries, and get slapped with a $35 cancellation fee!!

wth? is this in line with whats supposed to happen? i asked the buyer to contact paypal, because there isnt much i can do, but at the same time i feel bad the buyer is having problems. i told the buyer to just send me the difference anyway, but im here to note my happenings. This would be an all too convenient way for paypal to make a TON of money. just change the invoice addresses to invalid ones, then make them pay for stop payments?! wow.

of course, the buyer could have just put the address in wrong, but from a gmail.com tag to paypal.com? i dunno.....

just give it time...google checkout is starting to look promising...just have to let it mature a little more.

yes i like google checkout, but paypal started with low fees as well...

well apparently is her BANK that wants the $35 cancellation fee. makes a lot more sense now, she must have used her bank account to pay via paypal. fuckin non-cc paypals! whatever, it looks like im the one eating the $35... at least the item sold for about $40 more then i thought it would...
