PATA to SATA questions

I have 2 PATA WD 160gb hard drives that I want to raid, and the only option on my board is the SATA connections. What performace gains/losses will result from a PATA/SATA bridge? Has anyone bought a bridge kit from www.ussa.com (not sure of the exact link)? Hows did it perform? I'm looking at this kit cuz its really cheap and the store is local.

i've been using the adapter that came w/ my MB w/ no problems for about a month.

I get ~60 MB/s or so through it.

dang. forgot to check RR. I might just see if I can stop by their store/warehouse and pick 2 up instead. The online order does look shady. Reminds me of Surplus computers. Decent store, horrible online service.

edit: Hmm... been reading things about "pick up fees" and the like from this store... not looking good at all. I'll still give it a shot at the store and see what I can haggle out. Not gonna pay more than the site price though.
