• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

alright, heres the deal, friend of mine wants to password protect his comp from this other less than scrupulous employee at his office.

Thing is...they are both on the same network, so all the employee has to do is restart the comp and log on as himself to use the comp.

This friend of mine doesnt want anyone to use the comp besides him...

Is there a way to password protect he comp this way besides setting a password in the CMOS/BIOS?

are they using roamin profiles?

if not then there should be his account and an admin account, i would consult the network admin on this on, i have known some that get pissy if you change things like this, it make troubleshooting a pain in the butt if there is a cmos password enabled

Yep, it's not his own personal comp and it's not his network. Employers generally frown upon employees messing with stuff.

If "this other less than scrupulous employee" has been messing with his work comp, the network admin/boss should be brought in rather than him trying to do something on his own.
